Era Studio

An appealing, enduring logo is a product of deep introspection, and countless concepts.

• HealthPro, of Medavie/ Blue Cross "H" suggests the hospital icon. Greenish color is reminiscent of medical clothing green.

• Quest Coffee; maker of premium coffee asked for a wordmark. Typeface's contrasting strokes, has a human "hand made" look.

• Each signal flag represents a letter, in this case: "MBWBF". Style evokes Victorian era naval flag poster.

• Tulipwood is a carpentry and floral business! Rectangle behind wood represents 4 x 8 sheet of plywood.

• Fitness and yoga clothing designer/ manufacturer Seven Waves. Brush strokes describe starfish and reflects the creator's organic philosophy.

• Lucky Duck web design founder had a flying duck concept. Our studio took the idea higher. We researched ducks in flight, then created a drawing. Square background anchors the airborne bird. Head and wingtips break free of the square's boundary, suggesting motion.

• Mariner, a Halifax pet gear designer. Client asked for a logo featuring a sea faring captain who resembled Santa Claus, holding a Jack Russell terrier, with ocean behind him. I suggested the St. Andrew cross (as seen in Nova Scotia's provincial flag).

• aLaCarte Graphic Design required a classy service theme logo for its discount boutique design studio.
